It’s Show Time! Bring your Cameras this Weekend!

Only a few more hours until show time! I just got home from set-up and things are pulling together! The vendors have arrived and there are some REALLY fantastic booths!

Don’t forget your camera’s! We have a photo set ready for you and your friends to take a fun western style photo to remember your weekend of shopping and scrapping at Scrapbook USA!

Also, pick up a marker in our creative gallery and show us what YOU can do with a circle! I know we have hundreds (literally thousands) of creative friends at the show, so show us what you’ve got!

Don’t forget your CARDS! Operation Write Home and Huntsman Cancer Institute are the recipients of our talents this show! We are looking to beat our total of 3200 from spring.

Make sure to visit Scrapbooking Attitude by Avatrex at the show this weekend. They are taking up the center area right when you walk into the show.

Scrapbooking Attitude was honored at CHA with a 2012 innovation award. Their product is new and hot! The crew from Scrapbooking Attitude is ready to demonstrate their product for us here in Sandy Utah.

Our New Blog Walk at Scrapbook USA Expo

While the ladies at Utah Sweet Savings are not craft experts (at least not online), they are experts at money saving ideas, which we are always looking for, right??
Don’t miss their booth. I have heard rumors they will be giving away a few Kaboo Bags from Imaginisce (I am keeping my fingers crossed, I really want one of these) and some other great prizes. They also are bringing games, scrapping and fun to their booth.


Guiseppa Gubler will be at the show on Saturday only demonstrating her skills with the Silhouette machine. If you are interested in learning more about Silhouette products make sure to visit Guiseppa and Makin It Scrappin who will be selling all things Silhouette. Make sure to follow Guiseppa’s blog for the most darling ideas! She uses not only Silhouette but a number of other great companies! You can also follow Guiseppa on Pinterest.

Amber from Quilted Euphoria is my kind of girl. She does some quilting, some crafting and a little cooking! Sounds good to me, with the show this week, I haven't even done a little!
Amber has a fun craft she will be sharing at the show and I know you will experience nothing but fun getting to know Amber. She can also be stalked on her Blog and on Facebook.


I just met Melissa from Fablifyit a few weeks ago at a Blogger’s Night Out. I wish I could have spent more time with her. She is LOT’S of fun! In fact, I want her to come decorate my house for Halloween. She has darling crafts on her blog and will be someone you won’t want to miss at the show this weekend! I know she has something fun up her sleeve for all the ladies that stop by and say “HI”!!


Just the title of Karina’s list piqued my interest – The Bucket List Girl! I LOVE it! My bucket list (the one in my head) is so long I am afraid I am never going to die. I did join an indoor soccer team a few weeks ago, so that is something to cross off (I better write it down so I can cross it off).
Anyway, Karina is an inspiration. She has posted her bucket list on her blog (with a number of things already crossed off) and she is challenging you to do get your bucket list started. What are your dreams? Your desires? It can involve family, friends, crafting, skills to develop, charity to give, the list of options can go on and on! Visit Karina at the show and learn more about her and her crafting ideas!

If you haven’t made up a few cards, no worries, it is not too late! Make sure to bring your cards with you to Scrapbook USA Expo and donate them to our Care With Cards Program.
We are collecting cards for Operation Write Home and Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Here is the scoop:
Operation Write Home- visit their website for specific guidelines on their cards
Huntsman Cancer Institute- They are in need of “Thank You” and “Just Because” Cards. These are perfect for cancer patients who spend a little time in the Hospital and would like to share a few sentiments with family or hospital staff.
Huntsman Youth Card Kits- This is a fun one, and there is a HUGE need. Healing arts is an important part of the cancer treatment process. By spending some time doing arts and crafts the patients are able enjoy the process of creativity and are able to finish up with a cute card they can use to write their sentiments to someone they love.

Darling card kit donated for Huntsman Cancer Institute. These are super easy. Just pre-cut the
supplies and put them in a ziploc bag. See the finished card below.

Cards for Operation Write Home and Huntsman Cancer Institute

New at this show will be our Creative Gallery. Wander the display of hundreds of cards donated at the show. Get inspiration from others and show off your cards! Remember, you receive a raffle ticket for each card you donate, but of course quality trumps quantity!

Last spring we collected over 3200 cards for Operation Write Home. We are aiming even higher this time! We already have collected over 500 cards. Let’s bring in 4000 cards at our fall show!!

We are only something like 10 days away from Scrapbook USA! And we have some really fun things planned for this show.

Who’s Ready for Halloween??

I am!! Ok, not really! But I sure LOVE this time of the year! There is a little nip in the air and I am ready to put up a few decorations and sit down to warm soup and a football game. Saturday night here I come (Go Cougars!)

Haven’t had time to put up any décor yet but I have found a few cute things online. Cathy over at Creative Cutter Room is gearing up with some darling Halloween blocks.

Young Scrapper's Duct Tape Purses

One of my favorite parts of Scrapbook USA is the Young Scrapper's Club on Friday night at the show. I am a mother to 4 girls so craft and diy kits are a staple at Christmas and on rainy days. My girls are in love with crafting and they "LIVE" for Friday nights at the expo.

If you have not brought your young one down, start the tradition this year. Young Scrapper's Club is most ideal for youth ages 6-13. Tickets are $12.00 (no discount coupons) and include Friday regular show admission. Spend a few hours with them then send them off to a party of their own while you finish up your shopping or crafting!

Young Scrapper's have TONS of fun with karaoke, nail painting, hair glitter, glitter tattoos and new for this show we will be putting together duct tape purses. My girls saw all the duct tape in my "expo" pile and before long we had put together a few purses of our own. They are a HIT! They loved making them and are loving using them. Plus, at Young Scrapper's Club they will be able to make more!
