Card Challenge Starts Monday

Each year the Huntsman Cancer Institute treats 3500 new cancer patients. 1 out of 3 women and 1out of 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. The journey from diagnosis to remission can be a long tough battle! Each of us will be affected at some time in our lives by cancer, if we have not already.

As paper crafter's we have the opportunity to spread some sunshine at the Huntsman Cancer Institute this fall. Many of the patients spend extended time in the Hospital and miss important dates with their loved ones. Our cards will give them the opportunity to share messages with loved ones while undergoing treatment. The Huntsman Cancer Institute is looking for cards in the following themes:

Birthday (adult and child)

They would also LOVE lot's or card kits. This would allow the children undergoing treatment to be able to use the power of healing arts to put together their own cards. Card Kits should be in a ziplock bag with all the supplies (glue sticks not needed) for the patient to assemble their own card.

Last spring we donated over 3000 cards to Operation Write Home. This Fall, I would love to provide even more cards between Huntsman Cancer Institute and Operation Write Home. Let's get started!!

Monday we will be kicking off our first card challenge! Everyone who sends in cards or card kits will receive a free gift from Doodle Dragon Studios designed specifically for our Care With Cards Fall Show Project!
